I was asked a question recently, what is your blog about and why would I want to read it?

Well, that is an excellent question. My blog is a new endeavor, and I am trying to figure it out myself. I have big dreams for what this will encompass.

When someone sits in my chair, we talk about so many things, not just hair. I call it “Solving all the worlds problems.” It can be anything from hair care and styling to emotional well being, healthy eating and the food I enjoy, different ways of looking at the world.  Also silly fun stuff like movies, DIY and life adventures in general. I hope that these types of things will be interesting to you my followers. I look forward to hearing your viewpoints.

Those of you that know me personally know I LOVE to change my hair OFTEN. I enjoy funky and eclectic clothing that usually has a skull or to on it. One day I might be rockabilly another biker and yet another Breakfast at Tiffanys or any combo. I try to be inspirational in all aspects of my life.

My funkiness aside I take your image very seriously. I love that the world is made up of so many personalities. I look forward to meeting people who want to bring out their style and feel great when they see themselves in the mirror.

Since my primary skill set is in the hair industry, I will talk mostly about hair, probably heavier on the curly side. But not to worry, I won’t forget about my ladies with straight hair.

With so many excellent products out on the market, as part of my blog, I will be testing and reviewing them.  I’d love to hear what products you use and like.

I am so stoked about the hair community as a whole, but especially the curly community. I feel it has been a section of hair that’s been ignored for years. There are so many inspirational people with stories of how they hated their hair and how they have overcome it.

Some future posts include:

  • Hair Shaming
  • Going Gray
  • Growing Out an undercut
  • DIY Hair products

and many others the possibilities are endless.

The blog will also be a place where I can let you know about all the exciting happenings at Lawrence Roth my home base, where all the magic happens.

I am a follower of the Ketogenic lifestyle. I do not proclaim to be an expert in any way, but I’m having fantastic results and love to talk about it. It started for me as a road to better health by relieving inflammation and discomfort on a day to day basis. I was also looking for a way to wean off antidepressants, and this eating style has been a godsend.  Weight loss was a welcomed benefit. I do not think it is for everyone, but I know by sharing my insights and experiences I can help some people.

Pinterest is such a part of my eating journey with all the excellent recipes just waiting to be made. I have a few of different boards devoted to Keto one for meals and snacks, sweets/desserts and former favorites I would like to try to transform into healthier versions of themselves.

I have been a sufferer of depression for most of my life. I have done a ton of reading in books, blogs, listening to audiobooks to find some relief to the loneliness and pain I felt almost every day. As I said previously that is also how I found the Keto eating plan. People like Kelly Brogan, Dr. Christine Northrup, Dave Asprey, Tony Robbins, Joe Rogan (podcast) to name a few. The list is too long to write out here, but I will have a page called “Trusted Friends” and as I think of people who have made an impact in my life in a positive moving way I will list their links and information there.

I am blessed to live in a time when we can share our ideas and inspire each other. So stop by often to see what we are talking about, weigh in,  laugh and have some fun.
